KEZAD (Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi) is AD Ports Group's network of industrial and free zones. Its largest site is at Al Taweelah beside Khalifa Port, roughly midway between Abu Dhabi and Dubai on the E11. About KEZAD & Khalifa Port
The zone formerly known as KIZAD (Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi) sits on the coast at Al Taweelah, next to Khalifa Port, Abu Dhabi's main container port. It has frontage on the E11 highway and lies between the two largest cities in the UAE.
Since 2022 KIZAD and the former ZonesCorp areas have been consolidated under KEZAD Group, part of AD Ports Group. Alongside the Taweelah site, KEZAD's portfolio includes KEZAD Al Ma'mourah and the KEZAD Musaffah (ICAD) zones closer to the capital.

KEZAD & Khalifa Port: common questions
Do goods moving from KEZAD to the mainland need customs clearance?
Generally, yes. Goods leaving a free zone for the UAE mainland are treated as imports and need a customs declaration. Share your documents and we will advise on the right declaration.
Is KEZAD the same place as ICAD?
Not exactly. Both are run by KEZAD Group, but the Taweelah site is beside Khalifa Port, while ICAD (KEZAD Musaffah) is in the Musaffah area near the capital.
Can you collect containers from Khalifa Port?
Yes. We arrange clearance and container trucking from the port to your warehouse or site, and can return empties after de-stuffing.
