What is land freight?
Land freight is the movement of goods by truck between a pickup point and a delivery point. Ferry Global Logistics arranges road shipments from Abu Dhabi for full truckloads and part loads, handling vehicle selection, loading coordination, paperwork and delivery so the cargo arrives on the agreed date.
What the service covers
Full truckload (FTL)
A dedicated vehicle for one consignment — the right choice for palletised stock, project materials or anything time-critical.
Part load (LTL)
For smaller consignments that do not fill a vehicle. Tell us the pallet count, weight and dimensions and we will advise the most practical option.
Site and warehouse deliveries
Deliveries to warehouses, retail back-of-house, construction sites and industrial yards, including timed slots where the receiver requires them.
Cross-border road movements
Where a shipment needs to continue by road beyond the UAE, we can coordinate the documentation it needs. Ask us about your specific route.
How it works
- 1
Share the load details
Pickup and delivery addresses, cargo type, weight, dimensions, pallet count and the date you need it moved.
- 2
Vehicle and plan
We match the vehicle type to the cargo and confirm the loading method, timings and any permits required.
- 3
Collection and transit
The cargo is collected, secured and moved on the agreed route, with updates shared with your contact.
- 4
Delivery and proof
Goods are handed over at the destination and signed proof of delivery is returned to you.
Before you book: what to plan for
- Accurate weights and dimensions decide the vehicle — under-declared loads cause delays at loading.
- Some sites need gate passes, PPE or delivery slots booked in advance; tell us early.
- Oversize or very heavy cargo may need special permits and escort — see Heavy Truck Transport.

Frequently asked questions
What information do you need for a land freight quote?
Pickup and delivery locations, a description of the goods, total weight, dimensions or pallet count, the required date, and any loading or unloading equipment available on site.
Do you handle part loads as well as full trucks?
Yes. Tell us the size of the consignment and we will advise whether a part load or a dedicated vehicle is the better option for cost and timing.
Can you deliver to construction sites and industrial yards?
Yes. Let us know about access restrictions, gate requirements and whether offloading equipment is available at the site so we can plan the delivery correctly.
